Bhagwan Shree Mahakalbhairav Rahasyaprakash – Volume 2

Bhagwan Shree Mahakalbhairav Rahasyaprakash – Volume 2′ is a book written by Shree Gurudev Shriniwasji which reveals many mysteries about Lord Shree Mahakalbhairav. The second part of this Mahagranth is named ‘Mahatmyetihaskhand’. In this second part of the book, Shree Gurudev Shriniwasji discusses how the flow of worship of Lord Shree Mallarimartadbhairav has been flowing from prehistoric times to the present historical period. In this book, Shree Gurudev has elaborated on the important contribution made by fifteen Mahabhairavacharyas from prehistoric times in the field of spiritual exercises of Lord Bhairava and the propagation of Bhairavsadhana by reviewing the life work of the fifteen Mahabhairavacharyas. These fifteen Mahabhairavacharyas are – Lord Shree Nandikeshwar, Lord Shree Dakshaprajapati, Lord Shree Durvasa rishi, Lord Shree Agastya Maharshi, Daityaraja Lord Shree Pralhad, Lord Shree Angad (Son of Wali), Maharshi Vasishtha’s son Bhagwan Indrapramad Vaitalendra Mahakavi from prehistoric times along with Lord Shree Goudpad, Bhagwan Shree Govindpad, Lord Shree Adishankar Bhagavatpada (Srimad Jagadguru Adyashankaracharya), Lord Shree Machhindranath, Bhagwati Shree Lalitabhairavi a.k.a. Shree Mainakinidevi, Lord Shree Gorakshanath, Lord Shree Lakshmanadeshikendra, and Lord Shree Abhinavaguptapada from recent historical times. The article ‘Shree Mahakalbhairavopasana Sampradaya – A Historical Discovery and Enlightenment’ written by Shree Gurudev is included in this second part and it will be useful for scholars who want to study the Bhairavopasana sect from a historical point of view. Some of the notions of Hindus are based on the concepts of both God and Dharma. We believe that this article is written keeping in mind those notions and it will give a different perspective to the scholars of Bhairav Sampradaya. The Mahagranth contains the ‘Kalbhairavashtak Stotra’ composed by Shree Adyashankaracharya, but also includes the Aarti of Shree Mahakalbhairav composed by Shree Gurudev Shriniwasji and other Bhairavastotras composed by him. In summary, this book will be useful for both the devotees of Shri Mahakalbhairav and the scholars of Hindu philosophy.
