Dashangamahabhaktiyoga

‘Dashangamahabhaktiyoga’ is a unique spiritual work authored by Pujya Shri Gurudev Shrinivasji, in which the ten profound dimensions of devotional practice are explained in great depth and philosophical detail. Through this sacred text, Pujya Shri Gurudev has beautifully illuminated the significance of the various aspects of devotion, including devotional conduct, service, virtuous character, meditation, divine attachment (rāga), deep loving devotion (anurāga), supreme divine absorption (atirāga), detachment (virāga), divine love (prema), and spiritual bliss (harsha).

In ‘Shri Haripath’ composed by Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, the expression ‘Dashakacha Mela’ has been used to indicate the tenfold aspects of Mahābhakti. Based on this profound concept, Pujya Shri Gurudev Shrinivasji has presented an extensive, deep, and experiential explanation of the ten aspects of devotion through ‘Dashangamahabhaktiyoga’.

The supreme path to attaining Pūrṇa Pradnyan (complete wisdom) or Śrīvidyā is Mahābhakti. When the innate willpower of a human being moves rapidly toward the Divine, holding unconditional love for the Bhagavat Tattva, complete surrender to the Paramātma Tattva, and pure aspiration for the realization of the Brahma Tattva, that divine movement of consciousness is known as Mahābhakti.

What is the true nature of this Mahābhakti? In what sequence does it unfold and express itself within the seeker? What are the qualities of the inner heart that make such divine devotion possible? And how does the manifestation of this supreme devotion bless the individual with the realization of Śrīvidyā or the complete knowledge of Paramārtha Tattva (the ultimate spiritual truth)? These subtle and profound questions are explored in detail in this sacred work.

At first glance, devotion may appear to be limited only to emotional expression. However, after studying Pujya Shri Gurudev Shrinivasji’s ‘Dashangamahabhaktiyoga’, one realizes that devotional practice is not confined merely to emotion; rather, it blossoms through many other dimensions such as righteous conduct, selfless service, spiritual discipline, meditation, inner purification, the evolution of divine love, and the journey toward realization of the Supreme.

‘Dashangamahabhaktiyoga’ is not merely a description of devotional practices; it is an invaluable spiritual guide that leads the seeker from ordinary devotion toward the state of supreme devotion and ultimately toward Self-realization. For practitioners of the path of devotion, seekers of Śrīvidyā, and all aspirants yearning for the Supreme Truth, this book serves as a profound source of inspiration, wisdom, and spiritual guidance.
